The pick-a-stroller process took much longer than I thought it would. At first we had a hand-me-down which was perfect but when Jacks was only one month old it broke so we were unexpectedly tasked with the need to buy a new one. Enter total panic. I hadn’t really researched at all. I asked friends, mom groups and strangers for their picks and nine times out of ten I heard one answer: Uppababy.
But here was my thing — if was going to buy a stroller I wanted one that could potentially convert into a double and I the Uppababy that converts is 900 jaw-dropping dollars (and that doesn’t even include all the things). Add: (and listen up mamas-to-be because this was a harsh reality) We already had a Greco carseat and base — so whatever we got needed to be compatible lest we invest in another carseat and base altogether (no). Ahhhhhh!!! The stroller puzzle was unlike any other because of they’ve really created a need for brand loyalty.
I searched high and low for a stroller that was:
- Chic
- Easy to stroll and turn (must one-hand turn)
- Not too bumpy on brick and city sidewalks (#pedestrianlife)
- Light
- Easy to fold
- Practical with a large basket
- Comfy for Jacks
- Coud convert into a double
- Not $10000000
It took five months of research and test strolls but we finally found one!!
We went with the Joovy Qool and honestly I could not be happier with this purchase!

The stroll is smooth as buttah, it has all the optional attachments you might need like a carseat adapter, snack tray, a second seat, a ride-along — and it easily converts to a double if we need it to down the line.
Side Note: I think Joovy is such an under-the-radar brand to love. We didn’t notice it while it was happening but we’ve become Joovy Devotees now having their Qool Stroll, their high chair and most recently their Spoon walker (which Jacks LOVES!)
So if you’re on the stroller hunt I 1000% endorse the Qool and I’m so so glad we waited to find it. What a gem for such a steal!
